DECORATIVE 'OAK BARREL LID STYLE' DISPLAY PLINTH WITH COPPER FLAME-PAINTED INSERT

Ideal for displaying your favourite bottle of alcohol for example Whisky, Brandy, Cognac, Gin, Wine etc. or indeed purchase as the perfect gift for a friend or loved one we have created this unique decorative oak barrel lid style display plinth from four pieces of sustainable kiln-dried quality Scottish oak. Each wooden slat, after gluing together is defined by burning a groove between them, followed by the occasional light burning throughout the top surface giving it a comfortable authentic look

In the centre of the plinth a 120mm diameter recess has been made which allows the solid 120mm diameter flame-painted copper disc to sit just below the surface of the plinth

The design on this disc is loosely based on a wonderful late-summer west coast sunset

The copper disc has been coated with a clear protective finish & is also removable. Of course this disc is where you place your cherished bottle

Sanded to a very fine grade, when finishing products have been applied has made this a very tactile piece

This display plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

This listing shows the actual item that you will receive as this display plinth is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain or burning are ever the same

For the after-care of this board we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth.
