We are very proud to offer this wonderful 'Memory capsule' display plinths set comprising of a round bottle display plinth and a flat glass & jug plinth, both made from Scottish Douglas Fir. We have applied the old Japanese Yakisugi process of wood burning to both, leaving the resinous areas of grain raised and non-resinous areas lowered, and finally colouring the lowered areas with food safe orange flamed shading

Please note – on the main bottle plinth splits have been actively encouraged intermittently adding to its character & charm

Decorative hand-crafted copper mottled ties have been added to both plinths for a touch of class

A 140mm diameter recess on top of the bottle plinth contains a unique pure copper flame-painted removable 140mm diameter disc depicting a stunning sunset. Under this copper disc, a small secret memory chamber has been created suitable for containing a small scroll (not provided) with memory quotes/affectionate words about loved ones passed or for storing treasured items such as rings, necklaces, cuff-links, ear rings etc.

This set is perfect for displaying any type of your favourite tipple eg. Whisky, Gin, Brandy, Cognac, Wine etc

Dimensions: Bottle plinth - approx 120mm high x 155mm diameter at widest point. Central hole in bottle plinth – 30mm diameter x 70mm deep

Flat plinth – approx 240mm at longest point x 140mm at widest point x 25mm thick

These “True to Nature” plinths work with the natural character of the wood which we enhance and work with (no fillers in here folks)

These plinths are finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging them in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish 

This listing shows the actual items that you will receive as this is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain & burning are ever the same

For the after-care of these plinths we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes then buff off with another lint-free cloth to a sheen. Can be purchased by clicking on this link: our beeswax conditioner
