'ANGELS SHARE' OAK LIVE-EDGE DISPLAY PLINTH WITH MINIATURE OAK BARREL & COPPER STILL

'This stunning display plinth has been a delight to create and would make a fantastic gift or indeed treat yourself to a display piece which will uniquely enhance your home

Made from kiln-dried oak with a front-facing live-edge, we have carefully recessed a 70mm hole & placed in below the surface a copper disc that has been beautifully flame-painted to extract various shapes & colours from the copper

We have created our own 'Angels Share' graphic and lasered this onto the surface of the wood

At the rear of the plinth we have attached a miniature copper still with brass handles. We have aged down the still from its original bright shiny appearance (the bottom part of the still is fixed to the plinth base & the top part with the spiral attached is removable)

From the top of the still is a copper spiral that reaches into the bottom of our bespoke hand wood-turned mini whisky barrel with wooden bung and also has four burned grooves which represent barrel hoops, and is filled with malted barley grains for décor. To finish off the look we have pictured it with a Glencairn Wee whisky glass (not included)

Dimensions of the base: approx width 190mm x depth 167mm x 17mm thickness

Copper disc: 70mm diameter, Mini barrel approx. 50mm height x 40mm diameter

Miniature copper still: overall height approx 100mm x width inc brass handles 58mm

Sanded to a very fine grade and when finishing products have been applied, has made this a very tactile piece

This display plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

This listing shows the actual item that you will receive as this display plinth is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain or burning are ever the same

For the after-care of this plinth we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes then buff off with another lint-free cloth to a sheen. Can be purchased by clicking on this link: our beeswax conditioner
