YAKISUGI OAK 'BARREL LID STYLE' DISPLAY PLINTH WITH COPPER OAK LEAF COASTER

This Yakisugi oak barrel lid style display plinth along with an attractive flame-painted pure copper drinks coaster in the shape of an oak leaf comes as an attractive set perfect for displaying your favourite bottle of alcohol for example Wine,Whisky, Brandy, Cognac, Gin etc. or indeed purchase as the perfect gift for a friend or loved one

The circular display plinth's appearance is loosely based on the traditional burning of the insides of oak barrels, and created from sustainable kiln-dried quality Scottish oak. Lines/grooves have been burned into the surface of the wood depicting individual slats followed by applying the traditional ancient Japanese Yakisugi burning method throughout the top surface giving it a comfortable authentic look. The colour on the wood has been achieved by burning only and no additional colours have been applied

The unique pure copper coaster with chamfered chased edges & mottled textured surface has been skillfully flame-painted drawing out attractive natural colours from within the copper. A clear protective coating has then been applied to the surface - and the coaster's overall appearance is sure to display your glassware beautifully  

This listing shows the actual items that you will receive as this is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain and burning are ever the same

The oak wood bottle plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

Dimensions of the copper coaster: approx 230mm at longest point x 120mm at widest point x 1.5mm thick

For the after-care of this barrel lid style plinth we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. The underside of the 'barrel lid' plinth has our inlaid company logo & four felt adhesive pads & the copper leaf coaster has five pads to protect your furniture
