DOUGLAS FIR (Yakisugi Style) DISPLAY PLINTH

This stunning Douglas Fir plinth has been specially hand-selected for its knotty appearance and would grace any home setting. Its versatility would allow you to display a whole array of items, such as ornaments, treasured bottles of alcohol, perfume bottles or even a much loved framed family photo

Made from kiln-dried Douglas Fir we have applied the traditional Yakisugi wood burning method – within this process it leaves resinous knots sitting proud which allows us to sand them down to highlight them beautifully, resulting in a very tactile & visually flowing piece

This display plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

This listing shows the actual item that you will receive as this display plinth is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain or burning are ever the same

For the after-care of this plinth we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth.
