Here at Oak and Still Creations we have designed & meticulously crafted this unique cheese wedge knife block from kiln-dried quality Scottish oak, and paired it up with a handcrafted cheese knife – the handle is made from high quality compressed coloured ply alternating in red & black, then wood-turned along with four Yakisugi decorative grooves, followed by inserting a high-end Sheffield stainless steel forged cheese knife blade with stamped crest. Do not submerse this knife or leave to soak in water - not Dishwasher safe

This wonderful eye-catching piece will cheer up any kitchen or dining-room whether your home is farmhouse style or minimalist setting, and would surely be a real talking point between your family & friends

Rather than make this block out of one piece of oak we decided to create it out of three individual pieces, allowing us to select choice wood for the front & back faces of the block. When viewing the top, the bottom & the radius, this method visually presents three individual pieces of oak each with a different colouration & wood grain contributing to the overall interest

Sanded to a very fine grade, and when finishing products have been applied has made this a very tactile piece

This “True to Nature” cheese knife block works with the natural character of the wood which we enhance and work with (no fillers in here folks) and loosely represents veined cheese

This item is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

This listing shows the actual item that you will receive as this knife-block is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain are ever the same

Please note: This cheese knife block has been designed to fit our cheese knives only and may not necessarily fit any other cheese knife

For the after-care of this block we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes then buff off with another lint-free cloth to a sheen. Can be purchased by clicking on this link: our beeswax conditioner

For everyday cleaning, simply wipe the surface down with a clean, damp cloth. Dry straight away after cleaning
