'SCOTCH ON THE ROCKS' OAK DISPLAY PLINTH WITH COPPER FLAME-PAINTED INSERT

Here we have a meticulously hand-carved kiln-dried oak display plinth for a miniature bottle of whisky which we fondly call 'Scotch on the Rocks'

Having taken great pleasure in creating this amazing piece for the lucky new owners home, it will bring a unique warmth & character and of course a talking point between family & friends over your favourite dram – it's a wee stunner !

Rather than make this plinth out of one piece of oak we decided to create it out of four individual pieces of oak, each with a different colouration & wood grain contributing to its overall appearance. All of the outside has been hand-carved forming inlets & ledges. On three of these ledges realistic faux grassy tufts have been attached

On the top we have recessed a 50mm hole and placed in below the surface a copper disc (50mm) that has been beautifully flame-painted through a heating & cooling method to extract various shapes & natural colours from the copper

Finally in the centre of the disc we have hand-stamped our bespoke “Angels Share” design

This display plinth is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

This listing shows the actual item that you will receive as this display plinth is a one-off, as no two bits of wood grain are ever the same

For the after-care of this plinth we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. Allow to sit for 15-20 minutes then buff off with another lint-free cloth to a sheen. Can be purchased by clicking on this link: our beeswax conditioner
