LIVE-EDGE OAK CHARCUTERIE SERVING BOARD & OAK (Yakisugi) WALL HANGER
Only 1 in stock
We are delighted to offer this amazing kiln-dried oak charcuterie serving board & oak wall hanger. We started the process of creating this wonderful board by hand-sketching its general outline whilst leaving an area of live-edge, highlighting the comfortable shape and flow. The grain and hue of the wood, in our opinion, is outstanding and will sit well in any kitchen as a unique display piece while remaining functional for showcasing your favourite delicacies – and of course a talking point around any table
To display & store this charcuterie board we have handcrafted a kiln-dried oak wall hanger. To the back plate we have applied an old traditional Japanese wood-burning technique called “Yakisugi”. For the knob hanger, we have hand-turned a piece of oak, the shape of which comes from a childhood memory of wall hangers within stables for hanging horse equipment. 2x brass dome-head screws, 2 x collars are supplied along with 2x Rawl plugs for fixing
All in all when the board and its wall hanger are put together they will complement each other in an eye catching way within your home
Sanded to a very fine grade and when finishing products have been applied, has made this a very tactile piece
This charcuterie board & wall hanger are finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging them in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end food safe finish

For the after-care of this board & wall hanger we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth.
