YAKISUGI OAK 'BARREL LID STYLE' DISPLAY PLINTH & DRINKS COASTERS SET

This Yakisugi barrel lid style display plinth with two Yakisugi barrel lid style drinks coasters comes as an attractive set perfect for displaying your favourite bottle of alcohol for example Whisky, Brandy, Cognac, Gin, Wine etc. or indeed purchase as the perfect gift for a friend or loved one

This set's appearance is loosely based on the traditional burning of the insides of oak barrels

We have created this unique decorative oak barrel lid style bottle display plinth & drinks coasters from sustainable kiln-dried quality Scottish oak. Lines/grooves have been burned into the surface of the wood depicting individual slats followed by applying the traditional ancient Japanese Yakisugi burning method throughout the top surface giving it a comfortable authentic look. The colour on the wood has been achieved by burning only and no additional colours have been applied

Please note – the set shown in this listing is not the actual set you will receive as it is for our photographic purposes. However you will receive a plinth & coasters of the same sizing as listed, but the wood grain & the burning will vary to a degree

Sanded to a very fine grade and when finishing products have been applied, has made this a very tactile set

This set is finally finished off with Oak and Still Creations special application method and recipe of pure beeswax and mineral oil by submerging it in a warm bath of our beeswax conditioner, allowed to dry, buffed up & repeated and finally buffed again to a high end finish

Dimensions of the bottle display plinth: approx 190mm diameter x 17mm thickness

Dimensions of each coaster: approx 95mm x 15mm thick

For the after-care of this set we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth. The underside of the 'barrel lid' plinth has our inlaid company logo & four felt adhesive pads to protect your furniture on both plinth & coasters
