YAKISUGI OAK REST FOR CHOPSTICKS

Using our own unique design we have created these very special handcrafted chopstick rests from kiln-dried original oak whisky barrel staves

Perfect for using when enjoying your tasty Oriental dishes & are ideal for resting a pair of chopsticks on, within your table setting

When creating these rests, we have carried out the traditional ancient Japanese Yakisugi burning method to the surface of the oak wood giving it a comfortable authentic look. The colour on the wood has been achieved by burning only and no additional colours have been applied to form a food safe finish 

Dimensions of the rest: approx 80mm wide x 25mm high x 15mm thick

Please note – the chopstick rest shown in this listing is not the actual one you will receive as it is for our photographic purposes. However you will receive one of the same sizing as listed, but the wood grain & the burning will vary to a degree

For the after-care of this rest we would highly recommend the purchase of Oak and Still Creations wax conditioner & applying a small amount from the tin, rubbing into the surface with a lint-free cloth.
